ADHD & Autism

Assessments

Our Assessment Process is thorough to ensure we learn about your history, as well as your experiences as an Adult. You’ll be provided Questionnaires to complete online before your appointments, face-to-face online sessions, and written confirmation of findings and identification, in the form of a Letter or Report.

See below for more information and fees.

  • The choice is yours!

Reports include: your personal information, your history, your assessment and questionnaire results, interpretations, and descriptions of which criteria you meet. Reports may be used to access further supports, such as ADHD medication via a psychiatrist, to access services and supports, to provide to workplaces or universities for accommodations approvals and development of learning plans, and simply, some of us really like details, and would like a document that provides more information, compared to a Letter.

Letters include a summary of your assessment results and whether you meet criteria for identification. Letters may be sufficient for those who would like to discover their neurotype for their own knowledge, and perhaps don’t want to access supports or treatment as described above.

  • It is important to note that not all Psychologists, Health professionals or industry organisations work from the Neurodiversity-affirming paradigm and as such, do use deficit-based, problematic language. While Kinunity Psychology prioritises Neurodiversity-affirming language, you might notice that some of the assessments administered to you, do not. Some questionnaires use language that is deficit-based. We acknowledge this is far from ideal. We follow industry Assessment Guidelines based on best practice, recommending certain evidence-based assessments and questionnaires. It is important to note that the questionnaires may reflect deficit-based language, however these were developed before Neurodiversity-Affirming language was, and we are unable to change standardised testing measures from their original form.

Workplace

Education

THANK YOU! For looking into how your workplace can be more inclusive and for making it a priority.

Making small shifts often brings big impact. If you would like to know more about our Services below please email hello@kinunitypsychology.com.au and tell us about yourself, and your workplace.

  • Would you like to make your workplace Neurodivergent-inclusive?

  • Do you want to know more about decolonising your practice?

  • Do you know how many neurodivergent people work with you? It’s ok if you don’t know - because not everyone chooses to disclose their neurotype.
It's important for workplaces to create an environment and work culture that allows neurodivergent people to feel safe, regardless of whether they have disclosed their neurotype or not.
Ensuring your workplace is neurodivergent friendly starts even before your employees are hired.

We are passionate about advocating for:

    • your employees

    • your students

    • your future employees

    • AND your neurodivergent customers and clients

  • Are you an Allied Health Practitioner who is working from the Neurodiversity-Affirming Paradigm and looking for guidance on decolonising your practice? We can’t do one without the other. Krysia holds a Masters in Community Psychology where decolonising practice is at the forefront. This is one of Krysia’s special interests and if you would like to know more, she would love to chat with you.
